Allen Toussaint est un pianiste, chanteur, compositeur, producteur et arrangeur de rhythm and blues américain, né le 14 janvier 1938 à La Nouvelle-Orléans. Musicien dans la formation de Dave Bartholomew, il a accompagné les plus grands artistes de Louisiane, notamment Fats Domino, et a profondément marqué le son de La Nouvelle Orléans. Comme producteur, il s'est illustré aux côtés de Dr. John ou The Meters.
