MAPI est l'acronyme de Messaging Application Programming Interface (Interface de programmation de messagerie). C'est un ensemble de fonctions propriétaires, développées par Microsoft qui sont utilisées par des applications de messagerie électronique. Le but de ces fonctions est de pouvoir créer, manipuler, transférer et stocker des messages électroniques.
