Melvin Jones (Fort Thomas (Arizona), 13 janvier 1879 - Flossmoor (Illinois), 1er juin 1961) est un homme d'affaires américain.
Propriétaire d'une agence de courtage d'assurance, il adhère au Business Circle de Chicago, dont il devient le secrétaire. Il fonde le Lions Clubs le 7 juin 1917 et abandonne son commerce pour se consacrer à plein temps à la croissance du club, aux États-Unis et à l'étranger. Ses efforts ont été reconnus par le Conseil d'organisation international du club qui lui décerne le titre de Secrétaire général à vie du Lions Club International, en 1958[1].
Il était aussi franc-maçon. Il a été initié en 1906, à la loge 141 de Garden City, Illinois[2].
