Mayor of Detroit est une compilation double-CD réalisée en hommage au rappeur Proof, membre du groupe D12 et proche collaborateur de Eminem, tué par balles en avril 2006. Le tracklisting se compose entre autres de titres rares réalisés par Proof avant sa mort (avec Obie Trice, Baatin de Slum Village) ou encore de morceaux du deuxième album de Promatic, jamais commercialisé. On trouve également des interludes de ses proches (Bizarre et The Kon Artis de D12, le rappeur Dogmatic ...) évoquant leur souvenir de Proof.

Réalisée par le DJ Mixtape Assassin, la compilation a été mise à disposition gratuitement sur le site www.d12world.com le jour du 35e anniversaire de la date de naissance de Proof.
