District de Marakwet

Le district de Marakwet (en anglais Marakwet District) est un district de la province de la Vallée du Rift, au Kenya. Le chef-lieu est Kapsowar. Les habitants sont 140 629 (recensement kényan[1]. Les habitants sont de la tribu Marakwet, principalement. Le district a été créé en 1927 comme Elgeyo/Marakwet District. Il a été divisé entre Marakwet et le district de Keiyo en 1994.

La plupart des coureurs kényans viennent de ce district comme Moses Kiptanui, Reuben Kosgei , Ezekiel Kemboi et Richard Chelimo.
