Albert Johnson (criminel)
Albert Johnson, plus connu sous le nom du Mad Trapper of Rat River (Le trappeur fou de la rivière Rat), fut un fugitif dont les actions ont finalement déclenché une immense chasse à l'homme dans les Territoires du Nord-Ouest au Canada. L'événement est devenu un cirque médiatique lorsque Johnson a échappé à l'équipe de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada envoyé pour le mettre en garde à vue suite aux plaintes d'autres trappeurs. Cela pris fin après 240 km de chasse à pied dans une fusillade où Johnson sera tué.
Peu de détails sont connus sur Johnson comme son véritable nom ou l'origine de ses capacités de survie en milieu hostile, ce qui inspira de nombreuses théories et de nombreuses œuvres dont Chasse à mort (1981) de Peter Hunt avec Charles Bronson et Lee Marvin.
