53°35′N 06°44′W / 53.583, -6.733 Lucan (Leamhcán en gaélique) est une petite ville de la banlieue ouest de Dublin dans le Leinster. Elle appartient au comté du sud de Dublin et elle se situe à environ 16 km du centre. La ville est située au confluent des rivières Liffey et Griffeen.
La population de Lucan est de 37622 personnes en 2006.
Histoire
Patrick Sarsfield, partisan de Jacques II est né à Lucan. Il a reçu de Jacques II le titre de Comte de Lucan en 1690.
