En général, le conseil génétique désigne un conseil prénatal appliqué lorsqu'un problème génétique est suspecté au cours de la grossesse.

Un conseiller génétique est un professionnel de la santé spécialisé et expérimenté dans le domaine de la génétique et du conseil médical.
