Foster est une ville de l'État de Rhode Island (États-Unis) dans le Comté de Providence. Sa population était de 4 274 habitants au recensement de 2000 pour une superficie de 134,3 km².

Le site de Foster fut utilisé dès le XVIIe siècle par les colons européens (1636). Foster est intégré comme une dépendance de Scituate (Rhode Island) en 1730 avant d'acquérir son autonomie en 1781.
