Stavoren est un village situé dans la commune néerlandaise de Nijefurd, dans la province de la Frise. Son nom en frison est Starum. Le 1er janvier 2004, le village comptait 980 habitants.
Dès 1385, Stavoren, qui dispose déjà d'un port important sur le Zuiderzee, fait partie des villes de la Hanse.
Stavoren, anciennement Staveren, a été une commune indépendante jusqu'en 1984, année de sa fusion en Nijefurd, avec plusieurs autres communes du sud-ouest de la Frise.
